Additionally, you can save on the time required for cleaning and maintenance by keeping debris out of the pool.
DON'T BE FOOLED! Lighter-colored covers allow more sun and solar heat into your pool than darker-colored covers. According to the United States Department of Energy, a transparent or "CLEAR" bubble cover may increase pool solar energy absorption by 15% to 25%, while an opaque or "non-transparent" cover will reduce it by 20% to 40%. Consider this when selecting a pool cover.
"ALUMINIZED" SOLAR COVERS: Reflective or "aluminized" layers found within some solar covers tend to be extremely heavy and difficult to manage because they are dipped in an aluminum alloy. This process can also make the covers appear a darker gray in color, which reduces heat absorption by the water.
